Policies
CAMPING
-
Camping is allowed only within the designated space provided. Do not go beyond the boundaries of your site. Single unit sites have a maximum limit of 8 people. Double sites have a maximum limit of 16 people. The maximum stay is 14 days.

Occupying any portion of the site for other than recreation purposes is prohibited. (CFR 261.16 4) Shasta Recreation Company is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property.

Remove all personal property and trash when leaving.

No fighting or boisterous behavior. Be courteous to your fellow visitor. Keep noise at a reasonable level.

When operating an audio device, such as a radio or musical instrument, make sure not to disturb other forest visitors.

Quiet Hours are 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. No generators after 10:00 p.m.

Pets if allowed must always be restrained, or on a leash.

The use of fireworks or other explosives is prohibited within the campground. Firing a gun within the campground is not allowed.
FEES

Your fee is due within 30 minutes upon your arrival.

Read instructions carefully and SELF-REGISTER. Campground Fees are separate from Launch Facility Fees or Day Use Fees. Your fee for a single site includes one vehicle or vehicle combination. A double site includes two vehicles. Additional vehicles will be charged an additional fee.

Pay with cash or check in the metal fee tube or make a reservation in advance.

RESERVATION CHANGES

Cancel or change reservations through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.

Cancel at least two weeks in advance to get your full refund back excludes ($10.00 reservation fee through recreation.gov)
NO SHOWS
Reserved campsites and group overnight facilities will be held until initial check-out date or given notice of cancellation through our office 530-275-8113. No-shows, early departures, or cancellations after the scheduled arrival date are not entitled to a refund.
REFUNDS
If the reservation was made through recreation.gov please call 1-877-444-6777 to make a refund request. Refunds must be requested no later than 14 days before your scheduled arrival date for a full refund (excluding recreation.gov fee’s).

Reservation Fee: For some facilities, an additional reservation fee is charged. This additional non-refundable fee is $10.00 for the call center and online reservations.

Refunds for Check or Cash Purchases: Refunds for cash payments will be issued a check refund. A refund will be processed within 30 days of receipt and approval. For cash or check refunds please call us at 530-275-8113. Please Note! Refund requests made during or after departure can only be processed when approved by the facility management staff based upon local policy.

Refunds for Emergency Closures: In the event of an emergency closure the Recreation.gov will attempt to notify users and offer alternate dates and sites (as appropriate). If this is not possible, reservations will be canceled and all fees paid will be refunded.

Refunds for Naturally Occurring Events: Refunds will not be issued for naturally occurring events like rain, snow, wind, smoke, extreme temperature, low lake level, etc.
If you are requesting a refund for a walk-up site, please contact the host on-site or call us 530-275-8113. All refunds must be approved and issued through our office or processed though Recreation.gov.
SENIOR AND ACCESS PASS DISCOUNTS
Owners of the Interagency Senior(Golden Age) and Access Passes may receive a fifty-percent discount on the use fee for individual campsites. This discount does not apply to fees for cabins, lookouts, or group facilities and it may not apply for specific facility amenities such as electricity, water, sewer, or extra fees charged for prime or premium sites.
Pass Verification: Guests with these passes are required to provide the pass number at the time the reservation is made to receive the discount, and to present the pass and one form of identification upon arrival. If you do not provide proper documentation, you must pay the full recreation use fee before using the facility. If a guest makes more than one reservation for the same location and date(s), the discount will only apply to the site the pass owner occupies.
LOST AND FOUND POLICY
All items found at our facilities will be collected and turned in to our office. Staff will log in all the information available about the item and occupant of the site where the item was found (include site number if applicable), and date. If an item is of value, we will make an effort to locate any information on the guest who may have lost it. All items will be kept until the end of the season before the item’s disposition is decided.
If you are reporting a lost item to one of our staff please provide your name, contact information, a description of the item lost and most likely location it went missing. Please contact our office at 530-275-8113 to find out if your lost item was found. We will make every effort to try to locate your lost item.
COMMENT CARDS / REVIEWS
Our comment cards are available through our camp hosts, you can fill out the information and drop it in the metal fee tube for us to review. You can also leave a review by clicking the “review us” button below the campground that you would like to review.
PARKING

Parking is allowed only on paved spurs and other designated parking areas.

Do not block campground roadways. All boat trailers must either be parked in the site spur or in a designated parking area.

Make sure that each vehicle is displaying a properly executed USE PERMIT.

Do not leave any vehicle unattended without a USE PERMIT.

Make sure to obey all posted signs regarding parking.
CAMPFIRES
Obey restrictions on fires. Fires may be limited or prohibited at certain times. Within campgrounds and other recreation sites, build fires only in designated fire rings, stoves, grills, or fireplaces provided for that purpose.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING FIRES UNDER CONTROL.
Be sure your fire is completely extinguished before leaving. Use water and a shovel. Do not bury hot coals.
OPERATION OF VEHICLES
Obey all traffic signs. State traffic laws apply to the National Forests unless otherwise specified. The speed limit within the campground is 10m.p.h.
SANITATION
Throw all garbage and litter in containers provided for this purpose or take it with you. Wash food and personal items away from drinking water supplies. Use water faucets for drawing water only. Use the toilets properly. Do not throw garbage, litter, fish cleanings, or other foreign substances in toilets or plumbing fixtures. Do not use portable toilets as a dump station. Please leave your campsite in a clean and orderly manner. We ask that you do not move tables from other camp units. No posting or solicitation of information not approved by the Forest Service.

Shasta Recreation Company reserves the right to have any guest removed from the facilities for breaking the rules, causing a problem for other visitors or not paying the posted fees.
